  • Government and Non-Government co-operation was initiated and found it helpful.
  • The Govt. of W. Bengal gave the present land on 30 years long term lease. The Central Government – Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment provided 1/3rd building cost. The foundation stone was laid in 2004 by the then Governor – Viren J. Shah and the Ex-Chief Justice – Chittotosh Mukherjee of Calcutta High Court, inaugurated the building in 2006.
  • At Habra – the State General Hospitals has given a separate building in the premises of the state general hospital to run an O.P.D and Paripurnata is providing the Psychiatrist, Counselor, and staff and volunteers of CMHP are helping.
  • The Health Dept. of Govt. of West Bengal supplies the Psychotropic drugs used for Psychiatric patients.
 

Honors & Awards

In March 2007 Paripurnata received the Ladies Study Group Charitable Trust Annual Award: “for its outstanding contribution towards psycho-social rehabilitation of mentally ill, thus socially conferred ostracized women.” Dr. Joyce Siromoni Hon. Secretary of Paripurnta received the 2004 Paul Harrison Award from the Christian Medical College and Hospital, Vellore, Chennai.

Further, in 2005, The World Association for Psychosocial Rehabilitation (Indian Chapter) conferred Dr. Joyce Siromoni with the Lifetime Achievement Award, for her vision, inspiration and dedicated work in psychosocial rehabilitation of the mentally ill.
