  • A Community Mental Health Programme at Habra 24 Pgs. (N) was initiated in 2000. Started with survey of the 22 Wards to identify the mentally ill and refer them for treatment, at our centre where a visiting psychiatrist from Kolkata treated them.
  • Observing the motivation as also response of the local people to take treatment regularly an O.P.D. was started in the State General Hospital in2005 once a week where at present 80/85 patients are being attended.
  • The unique feature of the programme, is where Psychiatric O.P.D. Counselling and Day-care Center are all working together in a rural community.
  • Awareness programmes are conducted in almost all schools & colleges.
